This month was MUCH easier to get fun photos each day, but also MUCH harder to select just one per day.  Spending two weeks in Brazil, a beautiful country, with my family, a BABY, and lots of fun memories, I really struggled with choosing just one per day.  They could have all been beautiful landscape.  Or let's be real, all of my nephew.  Instead I tried to capture a little of it all. 



And so far in March?  My daily photos have consisted of the following, which shows that this month is not nearly as exciting so far. And that I eat (far too much) fried food and candy.  :)

Time for another 'Day in the Life' post! I have only done a few of these over the past couple of years, but decided that this year I'd set out to have one from each season of 2015 to look back on. Day in the Life - Winter 2015

I wasn't sure I would do another Day in the Life so soon, but if I've learned anything these last 5+ weeks, it's that time is scarily fleeting with a newborn, and I want to bottle up as many memories as I can. Even the not-so-pretty ones. So here it goes! Wednesday, January 21, 2015 Carter is 5 weeks, 5 days old. Jon and I are...old. 2:00am | I wake to crying and realize I am on the couch. It takes me a minute to remember why I'm downstairs and not in bed. Oh yes, Jon woke me shortly before midnight to tell me that Carter was sound asleep in his bouncer downstairs, but that he himself needed to get to bed (he works, so I try to take on nighttime duties). So I stumbled downstairs and crashed on the couch. Carter is now crying, 5 hours after his last feeding! Pretty remarkable. I grab the munchkin, chuckle at his adorable quivering lower lip, and get myself situated on the couch to nurse. He screams as I am just not moving fast enough for his liking, and starts ...

Day in the Life - Spring 2013

I'm jumping on board the "Day in the Life" train that Navigating the Mothership  is promoting this week.  I find it interesting to read about other people's day-to-day lives and thought I would participate for once.  I won't make promises that you'll be entertained by my day, as it was about as ordinary as it can get.  But here it is, for what it's worth. Wednesday, April 24, 2013 4:45am: Wake up to husband gently (but annoyingly) snoring and give him a gentle shove.  That doesn’t work, so I shove him a little harder.  He stops snoring momentarily but starts up again.  Sigh.  I grab at his opposite shoulder to try to rotate him onto his stomach, and it works!  Quiet again, and I drift back to sleep. 5:40am: Alarm goes off, and I wake from a dream.  Of course I don’t remember it, but I know it was a doosy.  I roll out of bed immediately, as I always do, and stumble into the bathroom.
