This summer is passing by faster than I'd like.  It seems like it was just yesterday that I was gearing up for my crazy July with out of town plans every weekend.  They all came and went faster than I can recall.  Aside from the weekends out of town (I still have one more to recount here, eventually), we've kept busy. A couple of weekends ago was my cousin's wedding, and it was beautiful.  It was outdoors, on a gorgeous Saturday afternoon, and couldn't have been more perfect.  My other cousin, the best man, does wedding videography and I offered to help, knowing he'd be standing up for the ceremony and all.  So I recorded the wedding party walking down the aisle with one camera and then jumped to the front row to record the ceremony itself with another camera.  It was fun, especially having a front row view of the whole thing.  I hadn't ever done my videography before, and after seeing the video I took of their wedding march into the...

Weekend number 3 of our whirlwind July was spent with my dad's side of the family up at their family cabin on Dead Lake for our annual get-together.  It was fabulous.  The past few years we have been rained out quite a bit, and spent most of our time indoors playing card games.  This time, however, the sun shined bright all but one morning.  Hallelujah! We had 6 cousins/siblings missing due to being out of country/state or in the process of moving out of state.  It's actually kind of sad that not a single one of them lives in MN, or even the midwest anymore.  The cabin was busting at the seams with the 13 of us that were there, but of course we'd love to have everyone crammed in. Because they were missing, my cousin had suggested we print out their faces for photos.  Typically we would hold our arms out in photos to show they were there in spirit - this was waaay more fun.  And I know this because we did this with Mandy last winter in Chicago....
