Lisa Lisa Bo Bisa

I came across this photo today as I was organizing thousands (yep) of photos of Carter. It brought a huge smile to my face and I'm so glad we have this moment captured from Christmas. Thanks, Auntie Ann!   And, to clarify, we don't usually all wear matching colors...we did so for a larger extended family photo. :) My sister and our little misters. Who would've thought this is where we'd be today. A few years ago, we couldn't have possibly guessed that these two amazing little boys would enter our lives. We are so blessed. I mean, seriously. How cute is my nephew and his big brown eyes? And Carter? Holy smokes, look how tiny he was. This photo brings me such joy. These people bring me such joy. I anticipate many fun moments in the future with these two little boys. I hope they become good friends as they grow up. I suspect they will.

My sweet little blue-eyed boy is four months old. I just re-read the previous monthly posts, and oh, I'm feeling all mostly nostalgic for those early baby days. All the more reason to continue documenting, even if it isn't interesting to anyone else but me. :) Carter is so much fun these days. He smiles, he giggles, he stares intently, he reaches, he moves, he reacts... I love it. But he feels like a lot of work these days too. He requires more attention, more entertainment, and by the evening more creative distraction to keep the fussiness at bay. Cradling him calmly in my arms no longer suffices - he arches his back, twists his head backwards, and tries to just GO. Somewhere. Anywhere. I know this is just the beginning.  Carter's latest achievement has been rolling over. Time for another 'Day in the Life' post! I have only done a few of these over the past couple of years, but decided that this year I'd set out to have one from each season of 2015 to look back on. Probably all because of Carter, because time is flying by and I want to capture as much as I can of this point in our lives. I found myself really looking forward to this Easter. I suspect I'll feel the same way about all holidays now. That's not to say that I didn't enjoy holidays pre-kid, but children definitely put a new spin on things for sure. Now the family time that I have always adored is just that much more enhanced with Carter included. I spent a couple weeks looking for the perfect Easter outfit for my little man. I have to admit, I was deeply jealous of all the adorable little girl dresses and outfits. The cute "Easter" boy clothes I kept finding were all shorts, or ridiculously expensive. I wasn't about to spend $50+ on an outfit that surely he would poop through before the end of the day. Plus, we had two Easter celebrations to dress for. I ended up finding a cute onesie with a tie on it in the hand-me-downs from friends. (Seriously, it's been like Christmas every couple months as I sort through the next size up).
