Spring Happenings
Ah spring. I think you are here to stay. I hope. I knew that warmer weather would mean fun times outside, but it turns out that this change of season is a big deal in our house. Namely to Carter. Now that he is on his feet all the time now, he has realized there is an entire new world out there to explore. And he wants to explore all.the.time. Last month we had a couple of beautiful, spring-like days that teased us, which was nice and mean all at the same time. The first time we took Carter out to our driveway, he made a beeline for the road (which is a finger-street and no traffic thankfully) and miraculously stumbled down our deceivingly inclined curb with no injury. He stood in the middle of the road, looked at us all wide-eyed, and did a full circle. I’m sure he was wondering what he should do first. It was endearing to see such enthusiasm and wonderment. We scrounged up a ball and a toy car that are now his “outdoor toys” and made mental notes to up our game in this depart...
