Two Years

Two years ago today, I married this guy:


It was the best day of my life, one that I think back to frequently.  We enjoyed a beautiful day with all of our amazing family and friends.  We wined and dined and danced away at The Landmark Center.  We laughed and chatted and enjoyed seeing so many special people in our lives.  The day went quickly, but the memories will last. 

Tonight we went back for our annual picture at the Landmark.  Not as nicely dressed as two years ago, but happy just the same.  I remembered taking pictures with our wedding party in this park as if it were yesterday, pigeon poop and all. 



The last two years have been wonderful with the hubs, and I cannot wait to see how great the next two are going to be!

    Happy Anniversary, doesn't feel like that was two years ago already! And I love that you guys go back and take a picture every year.. such a cute idea! You guys possibly the cutest couple around, here's to many many more years of happiness.

Day in the Life - Fall 2015

Day in the Life time again! Participating in  My Life in Transition 's round-up. ------------ Sunday, October 11, 2015 Carter is almost 10 months old. 5:20am | I wake to hearing Carter talk in his crib. A feeling of dread comes over me that we are starting our day now (yesterday, he was up at 4:45am to nurse and refused to go back to sleep), and yet I can't ignore the fact that I just got 7 straight hours of sleep. Fortunately, he quiets back down for another snooze. 5:50am | Carter is up again, this time banging his extra pacifier on the side of the crib. It's a lovely sound at this hour. ;) I stumble out of bed, put on some warm layers and head into his room. Provided it's at a decent hour, like today, it's my most favorite moment of each day. Carter is sooo excited to see me and starts jumping. Diaper change (Olympic-style) and he's off before I can get anything on but a new diaper. Annabel - 18 months

Oh what a year and a half it has been with this little lady! And because I'm a sucker for comparisons... My sweet girl. She is the definition of sugar and spice, and I love every ounce of her. Since I haven't really captured much about her lately, here it goes: Annabel is a full-fledged toddler, climbing chairs to reach light switches, running around outdoors, wanting to walk up the stairs with minimal help, ordering us around, refusing to follow the rules, throwing some pretty epic tantrums... my baby is no more. She still loves to carry things in her hands. She will pick up just about anything in sight (remotes, a sock, paper, toys) and carry them around. If she finds another item she wants to grab, she piles everything up in one arm against her chest so she can grab it with the other hand. Then it all spills and she tries again. If you give her a bowl with crackers, she will fit every last cracker in her hand immediately and then nibble at them as she...
