Five months
Stats: as of a week ago, 17 lbs 1 oz, 26 inches long. He's at about 65th percentile for his size.
Another month, another bunch of changes with this little guy!
This last month, Carter discovered his hands and feet. The first time he really noticed them I was changing his diaper. He fixated on his feet and had a look of wonderment and interest. He reached out and tried to grab them, but it took a few tries to coordinate his limbs. He now proudly grabs them all the time, and loves watching his hand move about. I'm not sure he realizes it's his...
Speaking of, Carter is grabbing EVERYTHING. Including my nose, lip, hair, and shirt collars. Ouch. He's got an insane grip, and we struggle to get his arms in his sleeves every time. He has started reaching up to my face while nursing, which could be one of the most endearing moments I have long anticipated.
His greatest accomplishment this month is rolling from his back to his front. One evening last week he just did it, in the blink of an eye, and repeatedly rolled all night. There's no stopping him now, even when he should be napping. He has begun getting himself in precarious positions and crying, which is loads of fun. I can't wait for him to figure out how to get back on his back by himself.

Hi! Carter is a cutie. This is random but where did you get his giraffe pajamas? My son is a little younger than yours.
ReplyDeleteHi Allison! The pjs are from Carters - it was a 4-pc set with two tops and two pants. They are my favorites!
